    Installation of storage heaters must always be undertaken by a professional electrician – this product is not suitable for DIY installation. The Magma HHR is compatible with both single and dual supply systems. Wiring schemes for both options are provided in the manual. 

    Your electrician will select the appropriate wiring scheme for your property’s power supply and metering system. They should also assist you with ensuring you are on a suitable tariff, and that your charge periods have been set up correctly, for you to take advantage of off-peak electricity rates. Electric Radiators Direct cannot advise on energy providers or metering systems. 

    Please note – the flexible charge times and supply options available on the Magma HHR can also accommodate users who wish to power their heaters with self-generated energy such as solar PV or wind turbines. 

    The bricks will be supplied separately to the main body of the heater. Due to their weight, we highly advise moving them from the pallet in stages rather than all at once and recommend having another person on hand to help. 

    We do not recommend electric storage heaters for bathroom installation. This is because there is the temptation to hang towels over the appliance to dry, which can obstruct ventilation on the heater and cause a hazard.

Plus, with its geolocation function, the Magma adjusts based on your proximity to home, making sure your space is always at the right temperature. If you prefer not to use WiFi, the Magma can also be programmed directly using the clear colour interface on the heater, giving you complete control at your fingertips.

The Magma also features extra insulation to help retain heat for longer. If stored heat runs low, its integrated backup heater kicks in to keep the heat topped up.
