Automatic storage heaters provide an additional level of control over their manual counterparts. Providing heat in the same way as a manual storage heater, automatic storage heaters use a cheap night time electricity tariff like Economy 7 to charge up overnight and then dispense their heat throughout the day. Unlike manual models, automatic storage heaters come equipped with an intuitive ‘automatic charge regulator’ that records the amount of heat used the previous day in order to match the output for the following day. If you use less heat, the storage heater will draw less power from the wall at night, ensuring an efficient use of heat for the following day.
